Association of Children with a Disability.
In February 2017, the Minister for Human Services announced that the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) had received Commonwealth Sector Development Funds (SSDF) to support sector and workforce development and individual capacity building in Tasmania.
We are excited to announce that The Association of Children with Disability (Tas) Inc (ACD) in collaboration with SpeakOut, Handbuilt Creative and CommuniCloud have been successful in securing funding from DHHS to implement an SDF project.
The project team will be involved in the development and promotion of resources that better connect NDIS participants, with mainstream, universal, and community services, including access to regional, rural and remote areas.
The team will produce videos, print materials and an interactive website and map audio – visual networks across the Tasmanian community, reporting on gaps and making recommendations and developing strategies to improve access to existing audio – visual resources in the future.
